Lisbon, three days
Land at 07:15 and take the metro to Baixa. Check-in at the Alfama flat is from 15:00, so we drop the bags and walk up to the Miradouro da Graça first.
Every writing feature is already free, in every vault. Nor adds only what needs a server.
In between your devices, the server carries only ciphertext — never what you wrote.

Share a note or folder with up to three people and watch each other type, still encrypted on your device first. The people you share with can read it, we cannot.
Write a line in the plan. Ana and Ioan are in it too.

Encrypted on your device first
Notes, titles, tags, folders and attachments are encrypted on your device before they leave it. Our server keeps a copy it cannot read.
What it can still see is plain on the right: that a note exists, roughly how large it is, when it changed, and the size of each attachment. The full list.
Drag across the note to see our copy.

Approving passes the key to your notes — never the notes — and asks for Touch ID or your fingerprint.
Do these match?
A new device wants the key to your notes. Only you can confirm it’s yours.

Condei storage is full. This file waits until there’s room. Everything already synced stays as it is.
Cancelling never locks you out of a single note. What happens if you stop.
Moving on is built in: Condei fetches every photo and file first, then moves your notes back to an iCloud Vault on Apple devices, or keeps them on your phone on Android.
Try leaving. Nothing is lost.
Where should your notes live?
Sync stops and your notes stay with you. Condei downloads every attachment to this iPhone first.

You need Condei Nor. It’s what carries your notes between Apple and Android.

Free, on iPhone, iPad and Mac only
Your notes sync and back up across your Apple devices through your own iCloud, encrypted first. No Condei account needed.
Free, on Android only
Your notes stay on your phone, with an encrypted backup to your own Google Drive. No device-to-device sync, because there’s only one device.
Apple and Android, or sharing with others
