1. Short version
Condei Nor is sold by Apple or Google, not by us. We never take your payment, and we cannot issue a refund ourselves. Apple and Google are the sellers of record for their stores, and they handle refunds under their own policies. This page explains how to ask them, how to cancel auto-renewal on each platform, what your legal cancellation rights are, and exactly what happens to your account if your subscription ends.
Nothing here limits any right you have under the law of the country you live in. If you are unsure where to turn, email support@condei.app and we will help.
2. Who sells Condei Nor, and who refunds it
Condei Nor is bought inside the app, through Apple's App Store or Google Play. There is no website checkout, no Stripe, and nothing to buy on condei.app itself. The store you bought through takes your payment under its own terms and is the only party that can issue a refund:
- Bought through the App Store (iPhone, iPad or Mac): request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com, or at support.apple.com → Request a refund. Apple decides the outcome; we have no part in it and cannot see your payment details.
- Bought through Google Play (Android): request a refund at play.google.com/store/account → Order history, or in the Play Store app under Account → Payments & subscriptions. Google decides the outcome.
We cannot look up, confirm or action a refund for you — only the store that took the payment can. If a refund is granted, the store tells us, and we update your account's subscription record to match (section 5).
Depending on where you live, Google — or a payment processor it uses — may be the seller of record for your purchase rather than us; where Apple or Google is the seller, their own refund policy governs it first (see Terms of Service section 14 for Google Play, section 13 for the App Store).
3. Your statutory cancellation rights
If you live in the UK, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give you, as a consumer, a 14-day right to cancel a contract for digital content or services bought online, starting from the day you subscribe.
If you live in the EU or EEA, Directive 2011/83/EU (the Consumer Rights Directive, as implemented in your country) gives you the same 14-day right of withdrawal for a contract concluded online for digital content or a service.
Both rights work the same way in practice:
For digital content (anything Condei Nor unlocks immediately, such as extra storage becoming usable the moment you subscribe), the right ends early once you expressly ask for the content to be supplied before the 14 days are up and acknowledge that doing so ends your right of withdrawal. That express request and acknowledgement is exactly what confirming a purchase in the App Store or Google Play checkout does — it is built into the store's own purchase flow, not something Condei adds or could remove. This is standard across App Store and Play Store purchases generally, not a Condei-specific rule.
For a service supplied over time (the ongoing sync service Condei Nor provides for as long as you subscribe), the 14-day right applies to the future, unused part of the service, subject to a reasonable charge for what you already used, calculated by the store that took the payment.
In practice, you exercise either right the same way as any other cancellation or refund request under this policy: through Apple's or Google's own refund route (section 2), because they hold the payment and the purchase record, not us. If the store refuses what you believe one of these regulations entitles you to, email support@condei.app and we will look at it, though the store's decision on the refund itself is theirs to make.
Both rights are in addition to, and do not replace, Apple's and Google's own refund policies, which are often more generous (for example, a short no-questions grace period after any purchase — Google Play's is typically 48 hours; Apple decides case by case).
If you live anywhere else, nothing here takes away any cancellation, withdrawal or refund right that is mandatory under the consumer-protection law of the country where you live; ask the store you bought from first, since they hold the payment, and email us if you are unsure where to turn.
4. Free trial
The annual plan starts with a one-month free trial, once per person, across both stores combined. There is no trial on the monthly plan, and no trial on the Apple-only "Monthly with a 12-month commitment" option (Terms of Service section 7).
Cancel before the trial ends and you are not charged. Cancel during the trial and you keep Condei Nor until the trial's last day; nothing is refunded because nothing was charged. If you do not cancel, the annual price is charged automatically when the trial ends.
Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, in the store you subscribed through (section 5) — not through Condei — or the first charge may already have gone through by the time the store processes your cancellation.
5. Cancelling auto-renewal
Condei Nor renews automatically until you cancel it. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Condei Nor until the end of the period you already paid for, then your account becomes a free account (section 6).
On iPhone, iPad or Mac: Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or on a Mac, the App Store → your account's subscriptions. Find Condei Nor and choose Cancel Subscription.
On Android: Google Play app → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Condei Nor → Cancel subscription, or at play.google.com/store/account.
Deleting the Condei app does not cancel a subscription on either store. Deleting your Condei account cancels a Google Play renewal for you as part of account deletion; an App Store subscription can only be cancelled in your Apple account settings — the app tells you this when you delete your account (Terms of Service section 7).
6. What happens to your data if Condei Nor ends
Ending a subscription — by cancelling, by a payment failing after the store's grace period, or by a refund — never deletes your notes. Condei Nor controls sync and storage, not your notes' existence:
- Your account becomes a free account. Every note stays on every device that already has it.
- Sync keeps working between the devices of the platform family your account started on (Apple, or Android). Devices of the other family can still download your existing notes for 90 days after the subscription ends, then stop receiving new sync from your account until you subscribe again.
- If your account holds more than a free account's storage allowance, new uploads are refused until it is back under the free limit — nothing already stored is deleted to force it back under.
- Billing records. If you delete your Condei account rather than just letting Condei Nor lapse, your detached subscription record (which store, which plan, its dates) is kept for 90 days to cover late refunds or chargebacks, then deleted (Privacy Policy section 7). Apple and Google keep their own payment records under their own policies, as the sellers.
Subscribing again restores full sync and the Condei Nor storage allowance immediately; nothing needs to be re-uploaded.
7. Price changes
If the price of a plan changes, the store you bought through tells you before the new price applies to your renewal, and you can cancel before it does (Terms of Service section 7).
8. Questions
Email support@condei.app. We cannot process a refund ourselves, but we can help you find the right place to ask, or look into anything that seems wrong with your account's subscription record.
